We’ve chosen a few favourites from The Preservatory Cookbook as well as a few from our test kitchen. I hope you’ll try them all, preserves are for so much more than toast!
Cocktails are even better when laced with Preservatory preserves!
Brunch the most important meal of the weekend! Nothing beats a great lazy day brunch, best eaten at approximately 10:45am in PJ’s with a full pot of really good coffee or perfectly prepared pot of tea. If you’re fortunate enough to have the whole day to relax then Brunch cocktails are a must!
My favourite way to eat! I’m much happier with a bunch of little bits of deliciousness then one big meal. Do head recipes are a godsend and makes having friends over for cocktails a breeze. Make it easy on yourself, the more you do ahead the more you’ll get to relax and enjoy yourself and your company! Many of these recipes can be prepped and thrown in the freezer for impromptu invites, usually the best kind!
Jam for dinner? You bet! On the farm we typically make dinner late and I usually do something quick and easy. There’s always a hungry crowd and usually a tired cook, so simple and delicious is my go to plan. Of course, inevitably and no surprise, preserves end up in many of our meals – they truly are versatile and such a great way to add intense flavour and a little wow factor to dishes, especially ones you’re doing on the fly!
I cannot end a meal without a sweet treat to finish with. No matter how full I am, there is ALWAYS room for dessert. Preserves and baked goods are a match made in heaven and there a plenty of delectable desserts in The Preservatory Cookbook. We have your classics covered, as well as some adventurous new favourites.
